About Us

Thank you for taking the time to visit our site and learn about our breeding program.  Parks Livestock Farm started in 1995 with a hampshire sow purchased from Don Michael.  It grew from there through a purchase of 250 purebred and crossbred sows from Dick Nash.  The Nash herd has been an influence on our herd from the begining and much of his advice early on has helped build the success we have realized.

We now operate a breeding herd that has Duroc, Yorkshire, Spot, Berkshire and Crossbred Sows.  The emphasis on Durocs has been driven by T.J. who has a passion for red sows.  He began by concentrating on soundness and has built a successful program.  Cassie enjoys showing spots and is still working to build her herd.

We often are not on the cutting edge of the trend because we raise pigs that fit our personal likes which include soundness, balance, and motherability.  We hope that our gilts can go on to become foundation sows for those who buy them and if they take home some blue ribbons in the process everybody wins!
